To test if Multani mitti works well on your skin, wet a little bit of the clay and apply it on the inside of your forearm. If your skin is dry, then when you rub off the Multani mitti, you’ll find that the test patch has gone very dry. Multani mitti can dry out your skin if used too often, owing to its high absorbing power. Over time, if you use Multani mitti packs too often, your face can get dehydrated. Do not keep any Multani mitti face pack on your face for more than 20 to 30 minutes. Multani mitti is clay, and when the clay dries, it becomes very hard and difficult to remove. Dry clay gets into facial wrinkles, and you’ll have to scrub hard to remove the remnants, which works adversely on your skin.
