On average, we lose about 100 strands of hair on a daily basis. It is only if these strands are not replaced by new hair growth that concerns about hair fall start kicking in. The most common signs of hair loss are a wider parting for women, and a thinning crown or receding hairline for men. This could be accompanied by an excess of hair left on your brush after combing, in the shower after washing your hair, or even on your pillow upon waking up in the morning.
Symptoms of hair loss will vary, depending on the type of hair loss. It can affect your whole body or just your scalp. Hair loss can come on suddenly or gradually.
