  • Dried Calendula Petals
  • Avocado Oil
  • Glass Jar

Method 

  1. Take the Calendula flowers and dry them in the sun.
  2. Remove the dried petals and put them in the glass jar.
  3. Then fill the jar with Avocado Oil and mix all the contents in the jar well.
  4. Close the lid and let it rest for 4 weeks.
  5. After 4 weeks open the lid and strain the clear golden coloured oil into another glass jar.

Now your Calendula Oil is ready to use. You can use it for acne or pimples or use it for treating sunburns, insect bites etc.

DIY Recipe Using Calendula Oil For Scalp Issues

  • Dried Calendula Petals
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Coconut Oil (You can also combine both the oils)
  • Glass jar

Method 

Take a glass jar and put the petals of Calendula and fill the jar either with extra virgin olive oil or extra virgin coconut oil or any of your favourite carrier oils.

  1. Mix all the ingredients in the jar well.
  2. Cover up the jar and keep the petals in the jar for up to 3-4 weeks.
  3. Drain the oil from the jar and discard the petals.
  4. Store this oil in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator to increase its shelf life.

You can use this oil to massage your scalp daily or at least twice a week depending on your scalp condition.

Calendula is known to be safe for topical application.
