Keeping Mosquitos Out (Infographic)

Not only are mosquitos annoying, but they are also dangerous, spreading germs and diseases such as malaria, dengue and zika. It is therefore important to avoid getting bitten, and to keep them away from your home. To avoid mosquitos at home, there are some simple, natural steps you can take, that do not require harmful chemicals. There are many plants that work as mosquito and insect repellents, such as citronella and tulsi. Place these near your windows or in your garden, and they will keep the pesky bugs away. Another natural repellent is sliced lemons pricked with cloves; place these around the home, and they will deter the mosquitos. Other ways to avoid mosquitos at home include ensuring that there is no stagnant water around, whether in containers, plants or anywhere else. Stagnant water is a breeding ground for mosquitos. Any water leaks should therefore also be fixed. Ensure that your screens and windows are properly secured so that mosquitos cannot enter.
